We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join our dynamic team in Durban. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of mechanical systems and the ability to design, analyse, and improve processes. Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, you will play a key role in various engineering projects that drive innovation and efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Create detailed designs and specifications for mechanical components.
• Evaluate and test materials and products.
• Liaise with vendors and suppliers for project requirements.
• Engage in continuous improvement initiatives.
• Assist in training and mentoring junior engineers.
• Conduct risk assessments for mechanical systems.
• Maintain project documentation and manage timelines.
• Stay updated on advancements in mechanical engineering.
• Lead troubleshooting sessions for mechanical failures.
• Ensure sustainable practices are followed in engineering solutions.

Requirements

Education

• Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering is preferred

Experience

• 5-7 years of experience in a similar role

Technical Skills

• Finite Element Analysis (FEA)
• Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD)
• Robotics

Certifications

• Certified Manufacturing Engineer (CMfgE)

Languages

• English: Fluent
