We are seeking a knowledgeable Food Safety Officer to join our team in Johannesburg. The perfect candidate will be responsible for implementing food safety regulations and ensuring compliance across various food processes.

Responsibilities

• Ensure continuous improvement in food safety management systems.
• Coordinate with external agencies for health and safety inspections.
• Conduct staff workshops to enhance awareness of food safety protocols.
• Implement corrective actions based on audit findings and inspections.
• Review and update company food safety policies as necessary.

Requirements

Education

• Diploma in Food Technology or related field

Experience

• 2+ years of relevant experience in food safety roles preferred

Technical Skills

• Food Hygiene
• Risk Assessment

Advantageous

• Familiarity with food safety technology and software: Experience using digital tools for tracking compliance and audits.
