Join our well-established legal firm as a Corporate Lawyer in Durban. You will engage with clients, providing strategic legal advice on corporate governance, partnerships, and regulatory compliance. This role is crucial in advocating for our clients' interests and ensuring adherence to legal standards, ultimately contributing to their organizational success.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic legal counsel to executive teams.
• Analyze legal risks and mitigate potential issues for clients.
• Draft policies and procedures in alignment with corporate law.
• Be involved in corporate governance and shareholding agreements.
• Work with cross-functional teams to align legal processes.
• Train staff on legal compliance and corporate responsibilities.
• Assist in dispute resolution processes as necessary.
• Respond to inquiries from clients and external stakeholders.

Requirements

Education

• LLB degree with honours
• Postgraduate qualification in Corporate Law is advantageous

Experience

• 6+ years of experience in a corporate law environment
