Job Description

We are on the lookout for an Actuarial Analyst to join our team in Cape Town. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in statistics and finance, with the ability to analyze complex data sets to forecast risk and provide actionable insights. You will play a crucial role in designing and implementing actuarial models that support our clients in making informed strategic decisions.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and develop actuarial methodologies.
• Perform sensitivity analyses to understand the impact of different assumptions.
• Communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders.
• Regularly update valuation models in response to changing market conditions.
• Support audit processes by providing accurate actuarial documentation.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements within actuarial operations.
• Participate in risk assessment projects to enhance overall understanding of risks.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
• Master's degree or further qualifications are advantageous

Experience

• 3-5 years of experience in the insurance or finance industry
