Job Description

We are seeking a competent Corporate Attorney to join our Johannesburg office. The successful candidate will provide expert legal advice on corporate governance, contractual agreements, compliance matters, and corporate litigation. Your role will involve drafting and reviewing legal documents, ensuring regulatory compliance, and advising clients on a variety of corporate law issues.

Responsibilities

• Oversee contract management, ensuring compliance with all legal requirements.
• Assist in corporate financing, structuring, and restructuring transactions.
• Provide training and guidance on corporate legal issues to internal stakeholders.
• Participate in strategic planning and corporate governance discussions.
• Develop and implement compliance programs to minimize legal risks.
• Handle client consultations and provide timely legal advice.
• Manage relationships with external legal counsel and advisors.
• Prepare and deliver presentations on corporate legal matters.

Requirements

Education

• LL.B. or equivalent law degree
• Postgraduate qualification in corporate law is advantageous

Experience

• Minimum 5 years of experience in a legal environment, focusing on corporate law
