Job Description

We are on the lookout for a dedicated pharmacist to join our Bloemfontein team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional pharmaceutical care, dispensing medications, and counseling patients on their medication regimens. This role is critical in ensuring safe and effective drug therapies and enhancing patient health outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with all pharmacy laws and regulations.
• Prepare and compound medications as needed based on prescriptions.
• Conduct medication therapy management and health consultations.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for patient treatment plans.
• Engage in community outreach and educational programs.
• Evaluate patient outcomes and recommend therapeutic adjustments.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy
• PharmD preferred

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in retail pharmacy

Technical Skills

• Pharmaceutical Compounding
• Pharmacy Software

Soft Skills

• Empathy
• Organizational Skills

Certifications

• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Sesotho: Conversational

Advantageous

• Bilingual in English and Afrikaans: Ability to communicate effectively in both languages.
• Advanced computer skills: Proficiency in pharmacy management systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
