Job Description

The Restaurant Shift Leader is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the restaurant during their assigned shift. This includes managing staff, ensuring quality customer service, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment. Your leadership will be essential in providing an unforgettable dining experience for our patrons.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate day-to-day restaurant activities during shifts.
  • Lead and develop team members to enhance performance.
  • Handle customer feedback and resolve conflicts professionally.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Prepare reports on restaurant performance metrics.
  • Facilitate staff training sessions on customer service best practices.
  • Manage stock levels and report shortages to management.
  • Implement promotions and marketing initiatives to attract customers.
  • Assist in maintaining a clean and organized dining area.
  • Ensure smooth communication between front-of-house and back-of-house staff.

Requirements

Education
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Food safety certification (e.g. ServSafe) is a plus
Experience
  • At least 2 years of experience in restaurant or hospitality management.
