Job Description

As an Accountant in our Durban office, you will handle various financial tasks, from preparing budgets to analyzing financial data to help guide our business decisions. We seek someone who is detail-oriented and passionate about contributing to our financial success.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly financial statements and reports.
• Maintain accurate financial records.
• Conduct audits to ensure compliance with laws and regulations.
• Assist with budgeting and forecasting.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable.
• Provide support for tax preparation and filing.
• Analyze financial data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
• Collaborate with other departments to understand financial implications of their activities.
• Ensure accuracy and compliance in processing payroll.
• Review and improve internal control procedures.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Completed SAICA articles or equivalent

Experience

• 3-5 years of experience in accounting or finance roles

Technical Skills

• Financial Reporting
• Accounting Software (e.g., Sage, Xero)
• Tax Compliance

Certifications

• CA(SA) or CIMA

Languages
