First-Line Supervisors of Production and Operating Workers

Job Description

We are in search of a First-Line Supervisor of Production and Operating Workers to lead our teams in Johannesburg. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in manufacturing, proven leadership skills, and the ability to oversee daily operations effectively.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily production operations and manage shift teams.
• Ensure compliance with operational procedures and quality standards.
• Identify and resolve production issues in collaboration with QA and maintenance teams.
• Prepare and maintain documentation related to production processes.
• Coach and mentor production staff to promote skill development.
• Drive initiatives for continuous improvement in safety, quality, and efficiency.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing or Operations Management preferred

Experience

• 5+ years in operations management with turnaround management experience

Technical Skills

• Organizational and planning
• Attention to detail and accuracy

Soft Skills

• Teamwork and collaboration
• Adaptability and flexibility

Certifications

• Lean Six Sigma Certification is a plus

Languages

• English: Fluent
