Job Description

As a Prop Sawyer, your primary duty will be to construct and maintain high-quality props for theatre, film, and television productions. We are looking for an individual with excellent woodworking skills and an eye for detail to join our dynamic team.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the production team to discuss design changes.
• Fabricate props using various materials, including wood, metal, and plastics.
• Update prop designs based on feedback from directors and designers.
• Conduct quality checks on props to ensure they meet production standards.
• Assist in the training of junior staff in prop construction techniques.
• Participate in production meetings to discuss scheduling and prop needs.

Requirements

Education

• Trade qualification in woodworking or carpentry is preferred.

Experience

• Experience working on large-scale productions is advantageous.
