Job Description

We are looking for a highly skilled Dynamite Reclaimer to join our dedicated team. The successful applicant will be responsible for the safe extraction and reclamation of nitroglycerin from explosive residues, utilising strong technical acumen and excellent problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Collect, sort, and recover unused explosives from blasting sites.
• Ensure safety protocols are followed during the recovery process.
• Package materials safely for transport to storage facilities.
• Conduct routine safety checks on equipment and recovery sites.
• Assist in training new staff on safety and operational procedures.

Requirements

Education

• Relevant qualifications in Chemical Engineering or Safety Management

Experience

• Minimum of 5 years' experience in the mining or explosives industry

Technical Skills

• Hazardous Materials Management

Soft Skills

• Team Leadership

Certifications

• First Aid Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience in the mining industry: Previous exposure to mining operations and recovery processes.
• Knowledge of explosives regulations: Familiarity with local and international guidelines concerning explosives.
