Mechanical Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer based in Cape Town to join our engineering team. The ideal candidate will leverage their expertise in mechanical design and analytical problem-solving to develop innovative solutions for complex engineering challenges.

Responsibilities

• Apply engineering principles to design mechanical systems and processes.
• Test and evaluate prototypes to determine performance characteristics.
• Collaborate with project managers on timelines and deliverables.
• Identify potential risks and propose solutions for challenges.
• Assist in the preparation of budget estimates for engineering projects.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality.
• Train and evaluate the effectiveness of engineering tools and methodologies.

Requirements

Education

• Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering is preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in mechanical engineering

• Certified Manufacturing Engineer (CMfgE)
