Job Description

As a Food Scientist in our Pretoria office, you will be involved in researching and developing new food products, focusing on improvements in quality and safety. Your expertise will help us innovate and improve our product line, ensuring we remain competitive in the market.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate existing food products for improvement opportunities.
  • Create prototypes and conduct pilot scale trials in the lab.
  • Collaborate with quality assurance on product testing and compliance.
  • Assist in preparing regulatory documents for product submissions.
  • Train and mentor junior team members in food science methodologies.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Chemistry or related field
  • Master's degree in Food Technology is an added advantage
Experience
  • 5+ years of experience in product development within the food industry
