Job Description

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Registered Nurse to join our team in Durban. As an integral member of our healthcare staff, you will provide high-quality patient care, administer medications, and support physicians in a variety of clinical settings.

Responsibilities

• Lead patient care activities and coordinate with other nurses.
• Administer treatments and evaluate patient responses.
• Conduct patient education sessions on health maintenance.
• Document nursing interventions and patient outcomes meticulously.
• Ensure adherence to nursing protocols and standards of care.
• Assist in onboarding new nurses and aiding their development.
• Take part in clinical audits and policy development.
• Provide crisis intervention and support in emergencies.
• Foster a compassionate and supportive atmosphere for patients.
• Engage in research and evidence-based practice initiatives.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
• Registered Nurse (RN) certification

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in a hospital setting preferred

• Patient Monitoring
• IV Therapy

• Adaptability

Certifications

• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
• Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with electronic health records (EHR): Familiarity with EHR systems for documentation and patient tracking.
• Certification in Infection Control: Preferred certification related to infection prevention and control practices.
