Job Description

We are seeking a Compliance Specialist to join our Durban team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in regulatory compliance, risk assessment, and policy development. You will work closely with various departments to ensure compliance with industry standards and government regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure the organization adheres to local and international compliance regulations.
  • Implement compliance frameworks in line with best practices.
  • Prepare and present compliance training and awareness sessions.
  • Participate in assessments of new regulations and their implications.
  • Support various teams in understanding compliance expectations.
  • Review and update compliance policies periodically.
  • Coordinate with external audit firms during compliance reviews.
  • Maintain relationships with regulatory agencies.
  • Provide insights and recommendations on compliance strategy.
  • Assist in the preparation of compliance-driven communications.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Compliance, Risk Management, or a related field
  • Professional certifications such as CAMS or CRCM are a plus
