Job Description

We are seeking a knowledgeable Legal Advisor to join our Johannesburg team. The ideal candidate will provide expert legal counsel and support in various domains, ensuring compliance with local laws and regulations. This role involves collaborating with other departments to help navigate legal challenges while contributing to the overall strategic objectives of the firm.

Responsibilities

• Guide senior management on legal and regulatory issues.
• Create legal strategies that align with the overall business objectives.
• Facilitate dispute resolution processes internally and externally.
• Review and update company policies to ensure compliance with current laws.
• Provide support in the development of new business initiatives.
• Mentor junior legal staff and interns.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Law (LLB)
• Master's degree in Law (LLM) is preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in corporate law or compliance roles
