Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Legal Advisor to provide expert legal advice and support to our clients in Port Elizabeth. The ideal candidate will possess a comprehensive understanding of legal statutes, exceptional analytical skills, and the ability to draft and review contracts and agreements efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Conduct legal research on various issues affecting clients.
• Draft internal policies and procedures that align with legal requirements.
• Represent the company in legal hearings and discussions.
• Assist in the implementation of legal risk management strategies.
• Prepare reports and recommendations for management review.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Law or equivalent
• Postgraduate qualification is an advantage

Experience

• 3-5 years in corporate or legal advisory roles

Technical Skills

• Legal Drafting
• Dispute Resolution

• Critical Thinking
• Interpersonal Skills

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Xhosa: Conversational

Advantageous

• Previous experience with litigation: Experience with litigation processes would be advantageous.
• Proficiency in additional languages: Fluency in languages such as Afrikaans or Xhosa could enhance client relations.
