Job Description

We are in search of a skilled Digger Operator to join our operations team in Johannesburg. The successful candidate will operate heavy machinery to excavate, move, and grade materials for various construction projects. Previous experience in a similar role is essential.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy machinery to excavate, move, and grade earth, rock, and gravel safely and efficiently.
• Perform daily safety checks and maintain the digger in optimal condition.
• Work closely with site managers to interpret project plans and specifications.
• Monitor the performance of equipment and troubleshoot as necessary.
• Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations on-site.
• Assist in training new operators on best practices and safety standards.
• Help with logistical tasks such as organizing materials and supplies on-site.
• Participate in regular safety meetings and contribute to the company's safety culture.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent

Experience

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in excavation and construction.
