Compliance Officer

Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Compliance Officer to join our Johannesburg office. In this role, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing compliance programs that ensure our organization complies with both internal policies and external regulations. You will monitor adherence to compliance regulations and conduct audits to identify any areas of risk. The ideal candidate will possess a solid understanding of compliance obligations and demonstrate excellent analytical abilities.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement compliance strategies for the organization.
• Conduct compliance reviews and prepare reports for management.
• Advise on compliance aspects of business initiatives and changes.
• Assist in the development of compliance-related technologies.
• Support the business in achieving compliance with relevant standards.
• Maintain accurate records of compliance activities and outcomes.
• Work with cross-functional teams to ensure adherence to regulations.
• Provide training to staff on compliance best practices.
• Monitor industry trends and regulatory changes that may impact compliance.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Finance or a related field
• Master's degree is preferred

Experience

• 5 years of experience in compliance or risk management
