Job Description

We are seeking a diligent Legal Assistant to support our legal team in Pretoria. This role will involve drafting legal documents, assisting with case preparation, and conducting legal research to ensure our clients receive the best representation possible.

Responsibilities

  • Compile and draft legal correspondence and reports.
  • Assist in gathering evidence and documentation for legal cases.
  • Maintain effective communication with clients regarding case updates.
  • Prepare trial notebooks and exhibits as required.
  • Conduct preliminary interviews with clients under attorney guidance.
  • Assist with billing and timekeeping for legal services.
  • Research local law and procedures to aid attorneys.

Requirements

Education
  • Certificate in Legal Studies or equivalent
  • Relevant bachelor's degree is preferred
Experience
  • 1+ years of relevant experience in a legal setting
