Job Description

As a Forensic Science Technician, you will play a critical role in investigating financial crimes. Your responsibilities will include analysing data, interviewing witnesses, and collaborating with law enforcement.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough investigations into various financial irregularities.
• Analyse financial data and create visual representations of findings.
• Write and present reports summarising investigative results.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure comprehensive investigations.
• Identify trends and inform decisions based on analytical insights.
• Participate in legal proceedings and testify as required.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Certification as a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) is advantageous

Experience

• Minimum of 5 years' experience in forensic investigation or related roles.

Technical Skills

• Analytical skills
• Knowledge of forensic software (e.g., EnCase, FTK)
• Database management systems

Certifications

• Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE)
• Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) is a plus

• Afrikaans: Conversational
