Job Description

Join our committed team as a Grant Writer in Cape Town. This position requires honing exceptional writing abilities along with excellent research skills to identify potential grants. You will be responsible for writing proposals, preparing reports, and collaborating with leadership to align projects with funder interests.

Responsibilities

  • Develop grant proposals that effectively communicate program needs.
  • Coordinate with partner organizations and stakeholders for collaborative grants.
  • Monitor and evaluate the status of ongoing grants and projects.
  • Assist with grant-related presentations and pitches to funders.
  • Regularly update the database of funders and their interests.
  • Help prepare news articles and social media updates relating to grant successes.
  • Review and edit proposals prepared by other team members.
  • Prepare and submit reports to funding organizations to ensure continued support.
  • Assist in developing a strategy for long-term funding sustainability.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Non-Profit Management or a related field
  • Master's degree preferred
Experience
  • 5+ years of experience in grant writing and fundraising strategy.
