Job Description

We are on the lookout for a motivated Legal Advisor to join our team in Johannesburg. The ideal candidate will possess an in-depth understanding of the legal environment and will be responsible for providing expert legal counsel and guidance to our clients. You will be instrumental in managing legal risks and ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver expert legal insights and guidance on corporate governance.
  • Negotiate and finalize various legal agreements.
  • Ensure adherence to industry regulations and legal standards.
  • Proactively identify legal issues affecting the business.
  • Serve as a key point of contact for compliance-related inquiries.
  • Draft and maintain external communications regarding legal matters.
  • Manage relationships with regulatory bodies and external legal firms.
  • Participate in strategy meetings to provide legal perspective.
  • Implement best practices for legal operations.
  • Support the business in achieving its objectives while maintaining compliance.

Requirements

Education
  • LLB or higher legal qualification
  • MBA or related business qualification is preferred
Experience
  • 6+ years of legal experience with a focus on compliance and corporate law
