Job Description

We are on the lookout for a detail-oriented Legal Assistant in Port Elizabeth to support our legal team. This role involves managing administrative tasks, conducting legal research, and assisting in the preparation of legal documents. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills and have a passion for the legal field.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and file legal documents with courts.
  • Conduct thorough research relevant to cases.
  • Organize and maintain case files and documents.
  • Assist in preparing for trials and hearings.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, attorneys, and court personnel.
  • Track deadlines and manage calendars for legal proceedings.

Requirements

Education
  • Diploma or degree in Law or Paralegal Studies
  • Bachelor's degree in Law preferred
Experience
  • 2–4 years of experience in a legal environment

Certifications
  • National Federation of Paralegal Associations (NFPA) Certification
Languages
