Job Description

We are in search of a passionate and dedicated Social Worker to become a key player in our Durban team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing support to individuals and families facing social challenges, ensuring their wellbeing and connecting them with appropriate resources. You will work closely with community organizations to deliver effective programs that address the specific needs of our clients.

Responsibilities

  • Work with clients to establish coping strategies and practical solutions.
  • Participate in case management meetings to discuss client progress.
  • Provide referrals to additional services, such as mental health support or legal assistance.
  • Engage with families to promote healthy relationships and family dynamics.
  • Collect and analyze data to assess program effectiveness and client outcomes.
  • Develop community partnerships to enhance service delivery.
  • Advocate for systemic changes that benefit vulnerable populations.
  • Train and supervise interns and volunteers as necessary.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Social Work (BSW)
  • Master's degree in Social Work (MSW) is an advantage
Experience
  • 2+ years of experience in social services or community work
