Join our team as a Mechanical Technician, where you will utilize your skills to support our manufacturing operations in Port Elizabeth. Your role will include implementing preventive maintenance programs and troubleshooting mechanical issues.

Responsibilities

• Execute maintenance schedules to sustain equipment functionality.
• Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues swiftly.
• Work with cross-functional teams to promote best practices.
• Prepare maintenance reports for management review.
• Uphold safety standards in all mechanical operations.
• Contribute to performance metrics and key performance indicators.
• Lead by example in maintaining workplace safety.
• Assist with the training of apprentices.
• Evaluate and recommend tools and equipment for purchase.
• Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas for improvements.

Requirements

Education

• National Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
• Trade Test Qualification is advantageous

Experience

• 4-6 years of hands-on experience in mechanical maintenance
