Job Description

We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join our innovative team in Johannesburg. The ideal candidate should possess strong technical skills and be passionate about designing mechanical systems that enhance efficiency and sustainability in various applications.

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical design projects from concept to completion.
• Conduct feasibility studies for new projects.
• Manage project timelines and budgets effectively.
• Draft and maintain specifications for mechanical systems.
• Ensure designs meet safety and quality standards.
• Assist with installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
• Train junior engineers and provide mentoring.
• Monitor project milestones and deliverables.
• Engage with customers to ascertain requirements and feedback.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
• Master's degree is a plus

Experience

• At least 4 years of experience in mechanical design and analysis

Technical Skills

• Finite Element Analysis (FEA)
• Prototyping

Soft Skills

• Leadership
• Adaptability

Certifications

• Lean Six Sigma Certification
• Advanced Proficiency in CAD Software

Languages

• English: Fluent
