Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Corporate Lawyer to join our expanding team in Durban. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing legal advice on corporate matters, assisting with contract negotiations, and ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations. Ideal candidates should have a solid background in corporate law and excellent analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage the execution of corporate transactions.
• Provide legal consultation for business development initiatives.
• Develop corporate policies and procedures in compliance with the law.
• Draft shareholder agreements and minutes of meetings.
• Represent the firm in negotiations with external stakeholders.
• Coordinate with other departments to facilitate legal compliance.
• Advise on the implications of new legislation affecting corporate clients.
• Contribute to legal publications and internal knowledge bases.

Requirements

Education

• LLB or equivalent law qualification
• Master's in Law (LLM) is an advantage

Experience

• 7+ years of relevant experience in corporate law
