Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Corporate Lawyer to join our Johannesburg office. In this role, you will provide strategic legal counsel on a wide range of corporate matters and help drive key business initiatives. The ideal candidate will possess a thorough understanding of corporate governance, compliance, and risk management.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the legal support for corporate transactions and business operations.
  • Provide ongoing advice on corporate policies and compliance issues.
  • Conduct due diligence for business acquisitions and investments.
  • Supervise junior lawyers and interns in their legal tasks.
  • Engage with stakeholders to ensure legal considerations are incorporated into business strategies.
  • Assist in the development of organizational policies and procedures.
  • Monitor changes in legislation to provide relevant updates to the company.
  • Participate in industry forums and networks to represent the firm.

Requirements

Education
  • LLB with honors
  • Postgraduate qualifications in Corporate Law are preferred
Experience
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in corporate legal roles
