Job Description

As a Mechanic Insulator, you will be tasked with maintaining, repairing, and installing insulation systems in various industrial settings. You will ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards, collaborate closely with engineers, and work on a range of electrical equipment.

Responsibilities

• Measure, cut, and apply insulation materials using various tools.
• Inspect insulation systems for performance and longevity.
• Provide on-site support for insulation installation projects.
• Prepare work areas and ensure all necessary materials are available.
• Assist in the development of insulation best practices and guidelines.
• Engage in continuous training related to insulation technologies.
• Coordinate with project managers for project timelines and deadlines.
• Maintain a clean and safe job site at all times.

Requirements

Education

• Matric certificate
• Trade test certificate in electrical insulation
• National Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering is advantageous

Experience

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Mechanic Insulator or similar role

Technical Skills

Languages

• English: Fluent
