Job Description

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Occupational Therapist to join our dynamic team in Cape Town. This role focuses on developing and implementing treatment plans tailored to meet the specific needs of our patients, helping them regain independence and enhance their daily living skills.

Responsibilities

  • Perform assessments to establish patients' baseline capabilities and set therapy goals.
  • Implement individualized treatment programs aimed at restoring and enhancing functionality.
  • Facilitate group therapy sessions to encourage peer support and collaboration.
  • Keep detailed records of patient assessments, progress, and treatment modifications.
  • Work collaboratively with healthcare professionals to coordinate comprehensive care.
  • Train patients and families in techniques that foster independence.
  • Participate in continuous professional development activities to enhance skills.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy or related field
  • Postgraduate qualifications in Rehabilitation (advantageous)
Experience
  • 3+ years of experience in occupational therapy, particularly in settings dealing with rehabilitation or pediatrics.
