Mechanical Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join our dynamic team in Port Elizabeth. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in mechanical design, testing, and project management, contributing to our innovative engineering solutions.

Responsibilities

• Lead design reviews and ensure quality standards are met.
• Utilize CAD software for creating and modifying designs.
• Investigate and implement new technologies to enhance productivity.
• Coordinate with suppliers and vendors for material procurement.
• Support the sales team with technical insights and proposals.
• Contribute to R&D efforts for new product development.
• Ensure project compliance with environmental regulations and standards.
• Prepare and manage budgets for engineering projects.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
• Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering is preferred

Experience

• 4+ years of experience in a similar role

Technical Skills

• Finite Element Analysis (FEA)
• Design for Manufacturing (DFM)

Soft Skills

• Teamwork

Certifications

• Lean Six Sigma Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Proficiency in MATLAB: Experience with MATLAB for simulations and analysis.
• Knowledge of renewable energy systems: Understanding of renewable energy technologies in mechanical applications.
