Job Description

We are seeking a Legal Advisor to join our dynamic team in Port Elizabeth. The ideal candidate will provide expert legal guidance and support on a variety of issues pertaining to business operations and compliance, ensuring our practices meet all legal requirements.

Responsibilities

• Interpret laws and legal regulations as they apply to business objectives.
• Develop and implement legal policies and procedures.
• Educate staff on legal compliance and internal policies.
• Monitor industry trends and changes in legislation.
• Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Law (LLB)
• Postgraduate diploma in Legal Studies is advantageous

Experience

• 4+ years of experience in corporate law or consulting

Technical Skills

• Regulatory Compliance
• Legal Writing

Soft Skills

• Negotiation
• Presentation Skills

Certifications

• Compliance Certification Board (CCB)
• Certified in Corporate Compliance (C3)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Proficiency in additional South African languages: Ability to communicate in Afrikaans or Xhosa is beneficial.
