Job Description

As a Landscape Architect at our Durban office, you will be instrumental in shaping vibrant urban spaces. Your responsibilities will encompass project planning, design execution, and collaboration with clients and local authorities to transform landscapes into functional and aesthetically pleasing environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design of public spaces, parks, and recreational areas.
• Conduct detailed landscape assessments and analyses.
• Engage with clients to understand their vision and requirements.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure cohesive project delivery.
• Analyze environmental impact and promote sustainable practices.
• Design irrigation systems and select appropriate materials.
• Manage the project lifecycle, ensuring timely delivery and budget adherence.
• Prepare reports and documentation for project proposals.
• Keep abreast of new technologies affecting landscape architecture.
• Participate in site inspections during construction to ensure compliance with design.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Landscape Architecture or related field
• Master's degree in Urban Planning is advantageous

Experience

• 5-7 years of experience in the landscape industry

• Adobe Creative Suite
