Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Legal Advisor to join our Cape Town office. The successful candidate will provide legal counsel and support across a range of legal matters, ensuring compliance with local laws and regulations. You will work closely with internal teams and clients to offer strategic legal advice and navigate complex legal challenges.

Responsibilities

• Deliver expert legal opinions on corporate matters.
• Prepare and submit applications to regulatory bodies.
• Assist with due diligence processes.
• Represent the firm in legal proceedings.
• Monitor compliance with legal standards.
• Develop training materials for compliance training.
• Coordinate with external legal counsel as necessary.
• Assess legal risks associated with business operations.
• Contribute to strategic planning with legal insights.
• Manage legal correspondence and documentation.

Requirements

Education

• LLM or advanced degree in Law is preferred
• Qualification in Compliance Management is an advantage

Experience

• 5+ years of relevant experience preferred.
