Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Technician to join our Durban team. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in mechanical systems and hands-on experience with maintenance and repairs. The role will involve troubleshooting, diagnostic testing, and ensuring operational efficiency of machinery.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the operation and maintenance of mechanical systems.
• Troubleshoot equipment failures and provide timely solutions.
• Work closely with multidisciplinary teams to deliver projects.
• Assist in the development of maintenance schedules and protocols.
• Provide input for budget planning related to maintenance activities.
• Facilitate workshops to enhance safety and procedure awareness.
• Prepare reports on equipment performance and maintenance trends.
• Maintain inventory for spare parts and components.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
• Postgraduate qualification is a plus

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in mechanical systems and machinery
