Job Description

As an Animal Control Officer, you'll enforce dog control laws, ensuring public safety from dangerous dogs while promoting responsible pet ownership within the community. This role involves patrolling designated areas, handling stray animals, and responding to public complaints effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Capture, transport, and care for stray dogs safely.
  • Report any injuries or health issues in impounded animals.
  • Work closely with local law enforcement to address animal-related incidents.
  • Provide public education on animal control and safety.
  • Conduct follow-up on previously recorded incidents and complaints.

Requirements

Education
  • Matric or equivalent qualification
  • Relevant training or certification in animal welfare is a plus
Experience
  • Preference for candidates with experience in animal handling or rescue operations
