Compliance Officer

Job Description

We are on the hunt for a diligent Compliance Officer to join our Johannesburg team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that our firm adheres to regulatory requirements and internal policies. Your expertise will help maintain the integrity of our operations and build trust with clients.

Responsibilities

• Act as a point of contact for compliance-related inquiries.
• Review and analyze compliance data for trends and issues.
• Assist with the development of compliance strategies across the organization.
• Support the training of staff on compliance policies.
• Prepare and present compliance reports to management.
• Stay informed about industry developments and best practices.
• Ensure that the company’s compliance program is up to date and effective.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field
• Postgraduate qualification in compliance is a plus

Experience

• 3+ years of relevant compliance experience

Technical Skills

• Compliance Management Systems

Soft Skills

• Negotiation Skills
• Teamwork

Certifications

• Certified Internal Auditor (CIA)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with compliance technology tools: Skill in using technology to enhance compliance processes.
• Exposure to international compliance standards: Experience with compliance practices outside South Africa.
