As an Agronomy Consultant in Durban, you'll play a pivotal role in advising farmers on best agronomic practices. Your expertise will guide them in implementing sustainable farming techniques aimed at enhancing productivity and environmental responsibility.

Responsibilities

• Research and advise on crop rotation and cover cropping systems.
• Assist in the implementation of precision agriculture techniques.
• Coordinate with suppliers to source quality seeds and nutrients.
• Collect and analyze agronomic data to determine best practices.
• Facilitate knowledge-sharing events to promote sustainable agriculture.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Agricultural Sciences or related field
• Master's degree in Agronomy is an advantage

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in crop consulting or agronomy

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Zulu: Conversational

• Experience in Crop Modelling Tools: Proficient in using software for crop modelling and forecasting.
