Job Description

Looking for a dynamic Civil Rights Attorney to enhance our legal team. You will provide legal representation, engage in community outreach, and work on cases that impact civil rights in South Africa, ensuring justice is served.

Responsibilities

  • Represent clients in civil rights litigation.
  • Research case law and statutes relevant to civil rights issues.
  • Conduct consultations with clients to assess legal options.
  • Participate in community outreach programs to promote awareness.
  • Prepare and file all legal documents required for court.
  • Work closely with advocacy groups on civil rights initiatives.
  • Assist in training junior attorneys and interns.

Requirements

Education
  • LLB or equivalent legal degree
  • Additional qualifications in human rights law desirable
Experience
  • 5+ years of experience in civil rights law and litigation
