Pharmacist

Job Description

Pharmacy Solutions is seeking a dedicated Pharmacist to join our team in Cape Town. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional pharmaceutical care, including medication dispensing, consultations, and patient education. The ideal candidate should possess strong communication skills and a deep understanding of pharmaceutical practices.

Responsibilities

• Dispense medications while ensuring accuracy and adherence to protocols.
• Provide health education and counseling to patients.
• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings for patient care.
• Monitor and report adverse drug reactions and medication errors.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and data protection standards.
• Assist in the training and development of pharmacy staff.
• Conduct medication reviews to optimize therapy outcomes.
• Communicate effectively with patients about their health needs.
• Engage in community outreach and health initiatives.
• Support the pharmacy with operational and administrative tasks.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy or related field
• Additional qualifications such as a Master's in Pharmaceutical Sciences are advantageous.

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in retail or clinical pharmacy settings
