Pharmacist

Job Description

Pharmacy Solutions is seeking a dedicated Pharmacist to join our team in Cape Town. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional pharmaceutical care, including medication dispensing, consultations, and patient education. The ideal candidate should possess strong communication skills and a deep understanding of pharmaceutical practices.

Responsibilities

• Dispense prescribed medications to patients accurately and efficiently.
• Provide medication consultations and answer patient queries.
• Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
• Monitor patient medication therapy and provide drug utilization reviews.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care.
• Keep abreast of the latest pharmaceutical research and updates.
• Educate patients about potential side effects and medication interactions.
• Oversee inventory management of pharmaceuticals.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
• Participate in health promotion and disease prevention initiatives.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy or related field
• Additional qualifications such as a Master's in Pharmaceutical Sciences are advantageous.

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in retail or clinical pharmacy settings

• Fluency in additional South African languages: Ability to communicate in Afrikaans or Xhosa will be beneficial.
