Job Description

As a Corn Breeder, you'll play a pivotal role in developing new corn varieties through rigorous research and experimentation. Your expertise will also contribute to enhancing existing corn strains, ensuring they are resilient and yield effectively.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and implementation of corn breeding strategies.
• Conduct experiments to identify and select desirable traits in corn.
• Use molecular markers to assist in plant selection.
• Document and communicate research results to other team members.
• Manage field trials and ensure compliance with agricultural regulations.
• Contribute to grant proposals and scientific publications.
• Stay abreast of advancements in plant genetics and breeding technologies.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Plant Science, Agronomy, or a related field
• Master's or PhD in Plant Breeding or a related field is preferred

Experience

• 3-5 years of experience in plant breeding or a related field
