Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Food Scientist to join our team in Durban, specializing in developing innovative food products and ensuring compliance with food safety regulations. The ideal candidate will possess a strong scientific background in food technologies, enabling them to create high-quality food solutions that meet consumer demands.

Responsibilities

  • Innovate new food products and refine existing recipes.
  • Monitor and assess the nutritional value of products.
  • Implement and assess quality assurance protocols and safety standards.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to source high-quality ingredients.
  • Provide technical support to marketing for product launches.
  • Prepare presentations for internal and external stakeholders.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Food Technology or a related field
  • PhD in Food Science is a plus
