Legal Advisor

Job Description

We are seeking a knowledgeable Legal Advisor to join our dynamic team in Cape Town. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing expert legal advice, ensuring compliance with regulations, and participating in various legal processes. The ideal candidate should possess a strong understanding of corporate and contract law.

Responsibilities

• Negotiate settlement agreements and represent clients in disputes.
• Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies.
• Work closely with external counsel as needed.
• Review and suggest improvements to internal policies and procedures.
• Manage multiple legal projects and priorities effectively.
• Assist with the documentation of internal processes and policies.

Requirements

Education

• LLB or equivalent law degree
• Masters in Law (LLM) is advantageous

Experience

• 5+ years of relevant legal experience

• Regulatory Compliance

• English: Fluent
