Job Description

As a Warehouse Package Handler, you will be at the heart of our operations, managing the flow of packages and ensuring accurate distribution within our warehouse environment. This role involves receiving, sorting, and preparing packages for shipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform regular checks on warehouse equipment to ensure functionality.
• Work collaboratively with the shipping and receiving teams.
• Contribute to a positive work environment through effective communication.
• Follow instructions for health and safety to prevent accidents.
• Train new employees on warehouse procedures as needed.
• Assist in stocktaking and reporting discrepancies.
• Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) for tracking packages.
• Adapt to changing workloads and priorities efficiently.

Requirements

Education

• Matric or equivalent

Experience

• Prior experience in warehouse or logistics preferred

Technical Skills

• Handheld Scanners
• Forklift Operation

Soft Skills

• Problem-solving
• Time Management

Certifications

• Valid Forklift Operator License

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Understanding of Safety Protocols: Knowledge of health and safety regulations within a warehouse setting.
