Medical and Clinical Laboratory Technician

Job Description

As a Medical and Clinical Laboratory Technician, you will conduct serological tests on patient samples, interpret results, and report findings to physicians. You will play a key role in ensuring the delivery of accurate diagnostic results in a fast-paced laboratory environment.

Responsibilities

• Conduct blood tests and interpret results with precision.
• Maintain lab equipment in accordance with safety regulations.
• Document and interpret test results while following established protocols.
• Participate in inventory management and supply orders.
• Assist in clinical audits and quality assurance processes.
• Provide support during laboratory inspections and audits.
• Stay updated with new testing methodologies and technologies.
• Support research initiatives within the laboratory.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology or related field
• Registered Medical Technologist with HPCSA

Experience

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a medical laboratory setting

Technical Skills

• Serological Testing

Certifications

• Registered Medical Technologist with HPCSA
