We are seeking a passionate Food Scientist to join our team in Port Elizabeth. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food science and technology, focusing on product development and quality assurance. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to innovate and enhance our food products, ensuring they meet regulatory standards and consumer expectations.

Responsibilities

• Research and implement innovative food processing techniques.
• Collaborate with marketing teams on product launches and promotions.
• Train and mentor junior staff on food science and product development best practices.
• Evaluate and improve food safety protocols within the facility.
• Provide insights on consumer preferences to guide product development.
• Document all processes and results for regulatory submissions.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Chemistry, or related field
• Master's degree in Food Science or related field is preferred

Experience

• 3-5 years of experience in food technology or product development

Technical Skills

• Food Safety Standards

Languages
