Job Description

The Gill Box Tender will be responsible for operating and maintaining gill box textile machinery. Your role will ensure smooth production operations, adhering to quality and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Set up gill boxes to card and comb fibres into sliver.
• Conduct regular checks to ensure machinery operates efficiently.
• Document production data and adjustments made.
• Communicate effectively with team members for smooth operations.
• Follow all operational guidelines to maintain safety.
• Contribute to a positive team environment.
• Participate in training sessions to enhance skills.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Training or certification in textile machinery operation is preferred

Experience

• 2+ years of relevant experience in a textile manufacturing setting

Technical Skills

• Ability to interpret schematics
• Basic computer skills

• Time management

Advantageous

• Ability to operate other textile machinery: Experience with a variety of textile production equipment.
• Multilingual abilities: Fluency in multiple languages is a plus.
