We are seeking a detail-oriented Courtroom Deputy Clerk to aid in the effective functioning of court operations. You will support judges and attorneys, manage court documents, and keep track of case schedules within a fast-paced legal environment.
Responsibilities
Assist judges in managing court proceedings and ensure courtroom decorum.
Prepare courtroom for hearings, trials and other legal proceedings.
Maintain accurate records and documentation of court proceedings.
Administer oaths to witnesses and jurors as required.
Coordinate with attorneys regarding case schedules and logistics.
Provide administrative support, including filing documents and managing correspondence.
Prepare and distribute court orders, notices, and judgments.
Conduct research on legal issues as directed.
Ensure courtroom decorum and order during proceedings.
Requirements
Education
High school diploma or equivalent
Formal training in legal administration is preferred
Experience
Experience in transcription and document management is an advantage.
