As an IP Strategy Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our approach to intellectual property management and strategy. You will work closely with our legal and business teams to develop actionable insights and strategies to maximize the value of our IP portfolio.

Job Responsibilities
  • Work closely with the legal team to draft and review IP agreements.
  • Assess the impact of new legislation on the company's IP strategies.
  • Coordinate with product development teams to secure IP rights early in the innovation process.
  • Establish metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of IP management strategies.
  • Foster relationships with relevant industry groups and IP organizations.
  • Provide expert advice on IP litigation strategies.
  • Support the company’s technology transfer initiatives.
  • Drive initiatives that promote innovation and creativity within the organization.
Job Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Law, Business Administration, or related field
  • Master's degree or relevant certification is an advantage
  • Intellectual Property Analysis Skilful in assessing and strategizing IP assets.
  • Legal Research Proficient in conducting comprehensive legal research.
  • Contract Negotiation Expertise in negotiating favorable terms in IP agreements.
  • Analytical Thinking Exceptional ability to analyze complex data.
  • Communication Skills Strong communicator, able to convey complex ideas clearly.
  • Attention to Detail Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy.
  • Certification in Intellectual Property Law
  • Project Management Professional (PMP)
  • English (Fluent)
  • Afrikaans (Conversational)
Advantageous
  • Understanding of patent law and regulations: Profound knowledge of patent processes and regulatory requirements.
  • Experience in global IP strategies: Experience in formulating IP strategies on an international scale.
